Absolutely not! I am a free person and I haven't the obligation to accept the proposal of a person if it is not to my liking. Take the case of a lawyer: if a client asks to be defended it on grounds that conflict with the professional ethics of the lawyer, he must refuse to defend the client. So far as I am concerned, if I don't at once feel an affinity with the person to be accompanied, or if I feel that neither of us will gain by establishing a relationship, or if the inclinations of the friend are incompatible with my ethical principles, I will refuse politely and firmly. I am independent and I enjoy my activities and I don't wish to be under any pressure. This said, I have never yet met a friend to whom I had to resure my services at the time of the meeting. Any refusal always preceded an appointement made either by e-mail or by phone. That is why I make friends fill in a form for a meeting.
